Ep 6: Frolic with Flowers
She’s an expat living in Portugal, a digital nomad, an entrepreneur, and a hippie who hates hippies! Today’s guest is the founder of Frolic! Blog and Frolic Flower School where she teaches people everything about flowers, flower arranging, and how to be a florist.
Flowers are proven to boost your mood and I hope our conversation gives you a boost too. I’m excited to introduce Chelsea Fuss.
Listen now
I love how she’s trying to change perceptions about flowers. It’s unnatural for them to be perfect in the vase for 3 weeks. It’s ok for flowers to have some brown petals. That’s part of the life process.
Chelsea said,
Going back to the earth is not exclusive. It's not for rich people. Flowers are for everyone.
Be still my heart. Yes! Flowers are for everyone.

Flower Arranging Tips
Cut them shorter so the water has less distance to travel to the flower
Make the stems different heights
Have most of the flowers at the rim of the vase (not 6 inches of stem sticking out of the vase)
Bulky flowers at the bottom and dainty, airy ones at the top
Is Chelsea optimistic?
“It depends on the day.” Isn’t that the truth?
She’s a little more optimistic than I am. She finds so much pride in doing the little things we can all do to make a difference. We can all take action in our personal lives and then expand it into our industry.
